The Water Bottle
We spent two weeks in July working on the security team for the pageant. We enjoy this so much that this is the third year we have done it. We've made wonderful friends and had tender experiences. This year was no different. There are two shifts when we need to work overnight. One is from 10:30-2am. During that shift we are tasked with cutting all the twine off of the chairs. The twine is used for reserving them. The other thing during that shift is to pick up all the trash and to collect the trash from all of the 30ish trash cans set around the pageant grounds. I enjoy that shift as it is busy and quiet. The other shift is from 2-6am. The tasks included in this shift are anything not completed during the previous shift and then cleaning the bathrooms under the stage. That takes somewhere just over an hour. The coons are out in force during this shift. We tend to take a nap in our truck...
